Cooking App

Taste

It might not be the most gourmet recipe compendium we’ve seen, but most of the time, you’re going to follow whatever recipe is the first or second result returned from a Google search — which will more often than not be from Taste anyway.

It might seem unnecessary downloading the app and signing up for  the $1 annual subscription price when you  can recipes online for free, but there are a few reasons why it’s worth the effort.

The first is that you’ll be permanently signed in, so when you search or browse the extensive library  of recipes, you’ll be able to immediately add any you like to a favourites list that is perfect for browsing when you don’t know what to cook.

The next neat trick of the Taste app  is that you can add the ingredients of a recipe list directly to a shopping list, letting you add multiple recipes ingredients to one simple list.

What is probably the most useful feature of  the app, though, is the smart timer, which gives you specific timing and temperature instructions for how to cook a particular cut  of meat to a certain grade using various methods.
